Public transportation is a right. Buses in particular serve low-income populations. This statement by the Sec. Pollack is dreadful:

Thank goodness the Legislature upped the request for the RTA's.

I say this as someone who serves as Co-Chair of the Transportation Comm. of the Mass. Sierra Club.
